Our SHSB Men's 2nd Grade side went under to University of Tasmania on a frustrating day.
University of Tasmania set us 169 to win, finishing on 168/5 from 20 overs. Fifty for Mitchell Woolford, who made 69 for the hosts. With the ball, Reece Norris did the damage, claiming two for 21 off three overs.
Chasing 169, we reached 141/7 from 20 overs. A classy 52 off 33 balls from Samuel Young was the highlight. Jonah Evans added a useful 43 off 35 balls. Nick Walden was the pick of our opponents' bowlers with three for 32.
There were some quality individual efforts to build on. It's two defeats on the trot, and the team will be eager to bounce back.
Congratulations to the hosts on the win.
