At New Town Oval, our SHSB Men's 1st Grade went down against New Town on a frustrating day.
New Town batted first and put 292/5 on the board from 50 overs. Jayden Vince made a good 102 for the hosts, a century worth applauding. Our best with the ball was thomas willoughby, who took two for 51.
Chasing 293, we reached 264/6 from 50 overs. A classy 80 not out off 73 balls from willoughby was the highlight. Fifty for Samuel Voss, who finished with 75 off 82 balls.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again.
We will be looking to get back in the winning column soon. Congratulations to our opponents on the win.
