At Queenborough Sportsground - Oval #1, our SHSB Men's 2nd Grade came out on top against Glenorchy thanks to Jonah Evans's 203.
Glenorchy made 219/10, and we made 328/7. Jonah Evans's 203 not out off 250 balls was a century to savour. Samuel Young made 27 off 22 balls. Six wickets for Ashton Cartledge of our opponents, who returned six for 93.
Our best with the ball was James Turnbull, who took four for 56. Edward Gulline finished with two for 7. Credit to Cartledge, who made a century (114) for the visitors. Nathan Percey weighed in with 31 for our opponents.
Big runs from our top order made the difference. The win was extra sweet after the visitors got the better of us earlier in the season.
A day to enjoy for everyone at SHSB.
