It was a day to regroup for our SHSB Women's 2nd Grade, who fell short against Glenorchy at home on Saturday.
Glenorchy set us 123 to win, finishing on 122/5 from 20 overs. Sidney Fletcher batted well for the visitors, making 31 off 38 balls. Georgia Campbell grabbed two for 15. There were also wickets for Annalise Turnbull (two for 30).
Needing 123 to win, we finished on 56/9 from 20 overs. Demi-May Rooke was the best of our opponents' bowlers, finishing with three for 3.
Credit to the visitors, who played well. The results haven't gone our way lately, but the side will keep at it.
Congratulations to our opponents on the win.
