It was a disappointing outing for our SHSB Men's 2nd Grade, who couldn't get past University of Tasmania despite Darcy Andrikonis's 42.
With the bat, we made 97/10 and 141/10; University of Tasmania made 408/6. Darcy Andrikonis was unbeaten on 42 off 39 balls. Solid support came from Hatoa Sweet, who made 33. The visitors' Jacob Kumaru was the standout with the ball, taking five for 32. Kumaru added three for 49 for our opponents.
Hamish McCulloch returned figures of two for 56 off fifteen overs. George Seward chipped in with two for 99. Hats off to Joe Groom, whose 157 not out was a polished century for the visitors.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one.
It's been a tough run, and we'll be working hard to turn it around. Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
