It wasn't to be for our SHSB Men's 1st Grade, who were downed by GN Raiders in Cricket Tasmania Premier League action.
We batted first and put 200/9 on the board from 50 overs. Harry Nichols brought up a fine half-century, finishing with 80 off 128 balls. Archie Banks-Smith contributed 36 off 89 balls. Oliver Wood returned three for 31 for GN Raiders.
The hosts knocked off the runs, finishing on 201/1 in 45.5 overs. A century to Thomas Dwyer for our opponents: 101 not out. Cooper Anthes made a good 74 not out for the hosts, a well-deserved half-century.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again.
We'll go again.
