Our SHSB Men's 1st Grade were too good for Lindisfarne Men's 1st Grade at Lindisfarne Oval 1 in Cricket Tasmania Premier League.
After batting first, we finished on 289/6 from 50 overs. Nitesh Samuel was the star with the bat, compiling an excellent 133 off 137 balls with twelve fours and one six. William Prestwidge passed fifty on the way to 61 off 71 balls with six fours and one six. There were also handy runs from Harry Thomson (37). Prasanna Ketheeshwaran was the pick of Lindisfarne Men's 1st Grade's bowlers with four for 66.
In reply, the hosts finished on 265/9 from 50 overs. Keegan Oates made a polished 97 for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century. Credit to Paxton Smart, who made a half-century (56) for the hosts. Samuel Voss was the pick of our bowlers with four for 42. thomas willoughby offered good support with three for 52.
The runs on the board proved more than enough. A first win of the season, and hopefully the first of many. An excellent effort from the side.
