Our SHSB Men's 3rd Grade had plenty to celebrate after they got up against New Town in a pleasing performance.
New Town made 141/10, and we made 212/10. Louie Williams brought up a quality half-century, finishing with 57 off 82 balls. Joel Corbett passed fifty on the way to 52 off 60 balls with six fours. Xavier Reynolds added a useful 37 off 59 balls. Callum Kelly bowled beautifully for the hosts, a five-wicket haul of five for 40.
Blake Johannesen was the hero with the ball, claiming a six-wicket haul (six for 56). Imtiaz Ahmed top-scored for our opponents with 31.
It was a brilliant all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up. It was a good way to turn the tables on the hosts, who beat us last time we met. That makes it two wins in a row. A day to enjoy for everyone at SHSB.
