Our SHSB Men's 2nd Grade side beat Lindisfarne with a performance to be proud of.
Batting first, the side were all out for 141 in 41.3 overs. Blake Johannesen's 29 off 40 balls was the highlight with the bat. Jake Garland added a useful 23 off 21 balls. Jye Rooke was the best of Lindisfarne's bowlers, finishing with three for 19.
In reply, our opponents finished on 139 from 42.3 overs. The hosts' best with the bat was Paxton Smart, who made 28. George Seward claimed a cracking five-wicket haul, finishing with five for 12. Johannesen also took two for 43.
A terrific result for the boys.
A first win of the season, and hopefully the first of many. Well done, team.
