Our SHSB Men's 2nd Grade went down against Kingborough at Kingston Twin Ovals in Cricket Tasmania Premier League.
First up, Kingborough made 269/5 from 50 overs. Hats off to Jaxon Thorpe, whose 125 not out was a quality century for the hosts. Riley Illingworth passed fifty for our opponents, finishing with 61. Our best with the ball was Edward Gulline, who took three for 37.
In reply, the boys were all out for 112 in 38.5 overs. A classy 53 off 96 balls from Jonah Evans was the highlight. Hamish McCulloch provided good support with 25.
It's six defeats on the trot, and the side will be eager to bounce back.
Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
