It was a disappointing outing for our SHSB Men's 2nd Grade, who were unable to get the better of Clarence Men's 2nd Grade with lessons to take away.
Clarence Men's 2nd Grade's innings closed at 250/9 from 50 overs. Archie Hurd posted 74 for our opponents, a stylish fifty. Lachlan Borsboom made 39 for the hosts. George Seward was the pick of our bowlers with three for 52. Darcy Andrikonis finished with two for 23.
In reply, the boys were all out for 113 in 31.4 overs. Joshua Brazendale batted well for 41 off 57 balls with four fours. There were also handy runs from William Fraser (23). Our opponents' best with the ball was Steven Wild (three for 1).
Credit to the hosts, who played well.
Thanks to our opponents for the contest.
