SHSB XI downed by Lindisfarne by five wickets on Saturday

Our SHSB Men's 1st Grade had to settle for a loss as they were downed by Lindisfarne on home soil.

We batted first and finished with 259/6 on the board from 50 overs. Cooper Stubbs was the star with the bat, compiling a brilliant 101 off 108 balls with ten fours and two sixes. Thomas willoughby brought up a classy half-century, finishing with 88 not out off 86 balls.

Lindisfarne knocked off the runs, finishing on 260/5 in 47.1 overs. Charlie Wakim posted a great hundred for our opponents, finishing on 106. Archie Banks-Smith starred with the ball, taking two for 24.

A tough stretch, and one the boys will be determined to end. The team will be keen to bounce back.
