Despite some good moments, our SHSB Men's 1st Grade were downed by Kingborough in a disappointing result.
We batted first and finished with 98/10 on the board from 19.4 overs. thomas willoughby played a fine hand of 26 off 36 balls. Archie Banks-Smith played a handy knock of 22. Daniel Wilson returned three for 11 for Kingborough. Nivethan Radhakrishnan claimed three for 16 for our opponents.
The visitors reached the target at 100/5 in 15.5 overs. Alex Vincent made 43 for our opponents. Gabe Bell bowled cleverly to finish with three for 11.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one. A tough stretch, and one the boys will be determined to end.
Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
