It just wasn't our day: our SHSB Men's 1st Grade were denied by GN Raiders Men's 1st Grade with lessons to take away.
With the bat first up, we compiled 296/6 from 50 overs. Caelan Maladay's 103 off 133 balls was a century to savour. Fifty for Harry Thomson, who finished with 53 not out off 39 balls. thomas willoughby made 48 off 62 balls.
GN Raiders Men's 1st Grade reached the target at 297/8 in 48.3 overs. Hats off to Aidan O’Connor, whose 117 was a stylish century for the visitors. Maladay bowled impressively to finish with two for 33. There were also wickets for willoughby (two for 57).
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again.
Chins up, everyone.
