At Queenborough Sportsground - Oval #1, our SHSB Men's 1st Grade recorded a win over Clarence on home soil.
Clarence batted first and put 149/8 on the board from 20 overs. Credit to Justin Galeotti, who made a half-century (59) for the visitors. Archie Banks-Smith starred with the ball, taking three for 31.
In reply, the boys reached the target at 152/5 in 19.3 overs. A classy 53 off 5 balls from Cohen Ratcliffe was the highlight. Thomas willoughby added a useful 41 off 41 balls.
It was a cracking all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up.
A cracking response after our opponents had the better of us in our last meeting. Well done, team.
